Molrelay phone applications

Android application

A separate installed application with native account, molecule, calculation and result screens. It uses your existing website account and the same saved molecules, jobs, results, permissions and sharing rules.

  1. Open this page on your Android phone and download the installer.
  2. Open the downloaded APK. If Android asks, allow this browser or file manager to install the app, then tap Install.
  3. Open the Molrelay icon and sign in with your existing website account.

Version 1.0.0. Android 7 or later and a current Android System WebView are required. Google Play services are not required by Molrelay. Native Android applications cannot be installed on HarmonyOS/NEXT variants that do not support Android APKs.

iPhone application

The separate iPhone source project is prepared, but an installable iPhone build is not yet available. It requires full Xcode and Apple signing. No App Store release or paid developer enrolment has been purchased.

Accounts, connection and science

Use the same existing account; approvals and calculation limits still apply. Internet is required for private/scientific work. Opening or reconnecting only reads saved data; new calculations require an explicit Calculate or Run again action. Accepted jobs remain saved while the app is closed.

The native application keeps sessions and unresolved request IDs in device secure storage. It does not retain passwords or create a separate account system. Private results are read from the existing service; explicit downloads remain under your control.

Local tests and Android emulator installation/chemistry checks passed. Actual manufacturer phones and signed-in production scientific flows have not been retested. Missing/expired spectra remain unavailable, and explicit-isotope spectra retain their existing acceptance restrictions.
